Matthew 10: An Itinerant Disciple’s Handbook
Introduction
Matthew is one of the synoptic gospels which all covered much of the same content. These gospels were most likely written between 60 A.D and 95 A.D. Basically 30 years after Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension. Thus, they were written from memories and other notes. Also of importance is that Matthew is the only one of the synoptic gospels written by one of the original twelve Apostles. John wrote the final gospel around 90-95 A.D. and was the only other author to have been one of the twelve.

“In our ministry, we have had people come to us who had been through deliverance. They talked about feeling free, only to have things return, sometimes worse than before. When we ask about the deliverance, they describe the binding and casting out, but do not talk about person doing the deliverance doing anything about ensuring the room that has been cleaned is refilled with God’s Spirit.
Conclusion
The ministry we have been called to steward is about helping individuals and couples be set free. The name (Sixty-One Three Ministries) comes from Isaiah 61:1-3. The Biblical foundation for it has been primarily Matthew 10:8. Doing a deeper dive into Matthew 10 and looking at the rest of the chapter relative to our ministry and specifically at the validity of looking at it being for disciples beyond the original Twelve was important.
